A reputable mover will have an established place of business, will be licensed, will be insured, and should be able to provide you with an accurate assessment of what it will cost you to move. AR Moving ® meets each of these criteria so you can have a stress-free, local, or long distance-move.
If contents have to be moved by way of an elevator.

Packing charges are based on the number of boxes packed. This is the most variable portion of your cost of moving. To get an accurate packing estimate it is necessary to have a concise list of what you want packed and if you have any special instructions around how certain items need to be packed.
Be certain to have cash, a certified check or a credit card to pay the driver for your move. Personal checks are not generally an acceptable form of payment. Establish what method(s) of payment the movers will accept before agreeing to accept them as your mover. Please be aware of local currency exchange rates if paying in Canadian dollars, and please ensure that we ghave given you the quote in the same currency.
AR Moving ® can accommodate most moves if you can povide us with at least two weeks’ notice, with a firm date. More notice is preferable, particularly in the busy season (May to September). Please keep in mind local holidays, as they may impact the quote that you receive.
Do not pack or ship flammable items, propane tanks, liquid detergents, aerosol cans or any items that may cause damage to your shipment. This could void insurance coverage if there is an unforeseen accident.
Yes, move estimates are free and the customer is under no obligation to accept the quote.
You should start planning for your move 6 weeks before your move date. You should begin looking for a moving company 8 weeks before you move. This way you can browse and contact different companies without being pressured.

Your pets may become stressed on moving day. The doors of the house will also be opened and closed frequently throughout the day. We suggest that you find somewhere for them to stay on moving day.
At the start of the move, we put down runners to protect your floor. We also protect your bannisters with padding.
Like all other service businesses, tipping is not required. If you choose to, a tip is appreciated for a job well done. Leaving a review, though our Testimonials page is also a great way to let the movers know they are appreciated.
If you have chosen to pack your own belongings and have hired us just to move you, there is a chance that some items still need to be packed. Most drivers carry a small assortment of boxes and materials to pack the contents of your home. These boxes are not free. Ferguson Moving & Storage can provide moving supplies for a fee. However, if you want to pack your belongings before the move, you can order some packing materials by contacting us. Always use double corrugated boxes, not single. The stronger your boxes, the better.
We will need you to be persent at your property for the purpose of access inside your home. Upon our arrival, you're free to eave and come back at the end of the day in order to secure your property as well as complete some paperwork with us.

Mechanical operation condition of appliances or electronics
Loss or damage to china or crystal, antiques or similar fragile items, unless packed and unpacked by the mover or unless visible damage has been noted on the container and documented upon delivery.
Documents, jewelry, precious stones, furs, cash, and articles of extraordinary value, unless specifically listed on the carrier documents (sometimes referred to as the “bill of lading”) or inventory sheet prior to moving.
